Connor with clown and Spiderman at the Children's Hospital at WestmeadConnor is an amazing 13 year old boy that has a great attitude even though he has been dealt a pretty hard hand in life. He continues to amaze everyone who meets him - with his positive take on life using music and humour to get through the hard times.

Connor has won the Pride of Australia medal for courage in 2007 and March 2009 he went to Orlando Florida with The Children's Miracle Network as a Champion Child representing Australia. He received a medal for his courage and strength while dealing with his ongoing illness.

Connor continues to need medicine, operations and daily medical procedures to keep alive, he never gets ' better ' and keeps on amazing me everyday - and all with a smile. He is truly an inspiration and has really touched many people from babies to adults.

Over time we hope to make awareness for chronic illness and how it is ongoing for the children and families. THESE CHILDREN DON'T GET BETTER.  We are aiming to give information and show people how it is amazing what you can do when you have no other options. Making a positive out of the negatives that are thrown our way is how we have got where we are today.

Our ONLINE SHOP - CMACshop ( click on eshop above )  - offers clothing, jewellery, CD's and we are soon to get some great natural soap ( celestial soaps ) and some great skin care. Our aim is to provide products that are easycare, comfortable, affordable that look and sound good. 

We are also attempting to raise enough money to build a purpose built home for Connor. This will make life a little easier for Connor and his ongoing daily medical procedures. The house will have everything on one level, medical room and other modifications throughout.

A word from ConnorConnor Maclean

"Hi, I'm Connor Maclean. You may have seen my story on the telly in Australia, but if you didn't, let me tell you a bit about myself. Firstly I have a chronic illness - VACTERL Syndrome with some other extra's thrown in like Crohn's disease and related spina-bifida. This effects all the systems in my body - but I don't let that get in my way of living and enjoying life.

My second home is The Children's Hospital at Westmead and so far I've raised over $30,000 to help area's of the hospital look after other chronically ill childen like me. I have raised the money through my CD's and our ROCK 4 CONNOR concerts. Stay tuned as I have another concert coming up in Coffs Harbour later this year.

Here is a little about what I like:

  • My favourite colour is RED, BLUE, PURPLE ...... and a few others
  • My favourite food is pasta with loads of sauce on it ( so I can eat it )
  • My favourite pastime is singing, listening to music, watching wrestling, playing my DS lite & PS3 ... ( and annoying my mum )
  • I love listening to Robbie Williams, Jonas Bros, anything with a good beat really
  • My favourite rock star is Robbie William of course !
  • I'm friends with .. many people !!! check out my photo wall to see who may be famous !!
  • I'm saving to buy a special house for me and my mum to live in. You can help by buying some of my really cool T-Shirts and other stuff at our online shop. I designed them myself when I spent most of last year in hospital. Soon in our online shop we will have some new t-shirt designs, jewellery and ecsma remedies.
